The ABCD of Emotional Release

Let that stuff go! A guided meditation and mindfulness exercise that will help you combat stress and release pent up emotions.

An introduction into the ABCD of releasing emotions.

  • A–Awareness. Become aware of the emotions or feelings that triggered a response. In other words, when it hits the fan, notice what smells.
  • B–Breath. Take a deep breath . Let it go. Become mindful that you are still breathing. Breathing is a good thing.
  • C–Compassion. Have compassion for your self. This can be hard. When we freak out about something we can often feel guilty for having those feelings. Here is what I say about guilt, “Ain’t nobody got time for that!” Be compassionate towards yourself.
  • D–Decide. Decide to choose wisely. Don’t make decisions when you are angry. Decide how you will respond differently.
