The Sunrise–A Poem

Photographed at Smiths Falls, Ontario, Canada.

Her blonde hair greets me in the morning
Shimmering
As it falls over my rough shoulders

There is so much I want to say to her
Awestruck
Appreciation
Adulation
Nothing comes out
My voice, silence

As we embrace
The light and I
I am overun with ecstacy

Pure Essence of God’s love
Fills my heart
It lays over the whole Earth.

I give thanks
For God’s Light
I give thanks
For her
